That Media Thing has a vacancy for a talented Digital Designer to join our content team’s expanding operations. This is a full-time position to be based at That Media Thing’s head office in Bath, UK.

Founded on decades of media publishing experience, That Media Thing is focused on creating high quality content to deliver authentic audience engagement. As such, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-moving agency environment but where a passion for creative excellence underscores our working ethos.

As Digital Designer, you’ll be working across a range of projects for major global brands, plus the opportunity to regularly assist on photography and video shoots. You will also be actively involved with editorial planning meetings, and be expected to bring great ideas to the table, including how projects can be brought to life creatively.

Above all we’re looking for someone that will relish creative challenges, thrive in a wide and varied role, and that will not take themselves too seriously.

  • Provide creative support and inspiration to the content team enabling great ideas to be realised with significant impact
  • Tasks will include the creation of web, social media and PDF assets, including elements of illustration, image sourcing, and image manipulation
  • Liaise with project and content team leads, keeping them up to date with progress, issues and resolutions in a clear and efficient fashion
  • Adhere to but also have the tenacity to contribute potential improvements to the project team’s creative management process
  • Previous experience at a similar Designer level of role
  • Strong core design skills in a diverse range of digital outputs
  • Ability to produce beautiful, well-crafted, error-free designs
  • Ability to conceptualise and visualise design solutions to a very high standard against tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills including effective and realistic time-management
  • Able to take direction from and support more senior staff in the delivery of big projects
  • Highly motivated, self-confident and flexible
  • A desire to learn and continuously develop own skills and knowledge within core design disciplines
  • Solid knowledge of core Adobe CC packages including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of working with Adobe Premiere will be an advantage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and popular task management tools will also be an advantage
